Ned Kelly Mug
Hero or villain, there’s no denying that Kelly’s short and violent life is the stuff of legend. Son of Irish emigrants to Australia, with an ex-con father, he had a tough upbringing and his family were reportedly victims of police harassment. In 1878 after shooting a policeman, Kelly and his gang went on the run, sparking a string of violent deeds and altercations and leaving a bloody trail of destruction in their wake. He was captured and hanged in 1880. Ned Kelly is featured in EPIC’s ‘Achieving Infamy’ gallery.
