Jeanie Ship Tote Bag
For the tote bag collector, here's a truly unique one to add to the collection. Featuring the Strictly Forbidden list of items to take on a famine ship, these are the rules passengers on the Jeanie Johnston had to abide by. This is not flimsy tote bag, made with sturdy cotton to carry all your things, and crafted to last you a long time. This is an EPIC exclusive item, one you can only get within our gift shop.
The Jeanie Johnston made her maiden voyage from Blennerville in Tralee, Co. Kerry to Quebec in Canada in 1848 with 193 passengers on board. She carried 2,500 Irish emigrants on 16 transatlantic voyages to North America throughout the Famine years. The ship sitting in Dublin Docklands today is an authentic replica of the original Jeanie Johnston, built to remember and honour Ireland’s Famine emigrants.
Only available at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum Gift Shop.
